Terms of Trade

1. Definitions

"We", "us" and "our" mean Entire Roofing Solutions Ltd. "You" and "your" mean the person or entity engaging us. "Works" means the roofing, membrane, waterproofing or related work described in our quote.

2. Quotes

Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise. Quotes are based on the roof as inspected and on the information you provide. Pricing is fixed for the scope described, and the membrane or roofing system to be used is named in the quote.

Where the condition of the substrate cannot be fully assessed without removing the existing roof covering, the quote will say so and will note any provisional allowance.

3. Variations

If we find conditions that were not reasonably visible at the time of quoting, such as rotten substrate, undersized framing or non-compliant existing work, we will stop, photograph what we have found and give you a written variation price before continuing. No additional work is carried out without your written approval.

4. Access, power and site conditions

You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the site, and access to power and water where required. Scaffolding, edge protection and traffic management are included in our quote only where expressly stated.

You are responsible for moving or protecting vehicles, outdoor furniture, plants and other property in the work area, and for advising us of any fragile surfaces, services or hazards before work starts.

5. Weather and programme

Roofing is weather dependent. Programme dates are estimates in good faith and may be adjusted for weather, material supply or access constraints. We do not strip more roof than we can make watertight the same day.

6. Payment

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, a deposit is payable on acceptance of the quote, with progress claims for longer projects and the balance payable on practical completion. Invoices are payable within 7 days of the invoice date.

Overdue accounts may incur interest and reasonable recovery costs. Ownership of materials supplied passes to you only on payment in full.

7. Warranties

We provide a 10-year workmanship guarantee on the Works. In addition, because we are certified applicators, the manufacturer's system warranty applies to the membrane or roofing system installed. Both are provided in writing at handover.

Warranties do not cover damage caused by storm events beyond design conditions, structural movement, work carried out by others, failure to maintain the roof and its outlets, or alterations and penetrations made after handover by anyone other than us.

8. Maintenance

Membrane roofs, internal gutters and outlets require periodic clearing and inspection. Failure to carry out reasonable maintenance may affect warranty cover. We recommend an annual check before winter and offer scheduled maintenance for commercial and body corporate clients.

9. Consumer Guarantees Act and Building Act

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 where it applies, or the implied warranties under the Building Act 2004 for residential building work.

10. Health and safety

We work under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and supply site-specific safety documentation on request. Please keep children and pets clear of the work area and of any scaffolding for the duration of the Works.

11. Privacy

We collect your contact details and property information solely to quote and carry out the Works and to meet our record-keeping obligations. We do not sell your information. You may request access to or correction of the information we hold by emailing harvinder@entireroofingsolutions.co.nz.

12. Disputes

If something is not right, tell us first and we will come and look. We would always rather fix a problem than argue about one. These terms are governed by New Zealand law.
